Review | Inika Mineral Blush Puff Pot in 'Pink Pinch'

Thursday, July 3

I finally found a beautiful pink blush which doesn't contain carmine! Inika are one of my favourite mineral make up brands; for both their incredible ethics and their commitment to creating natural and organic make up that actually works. I was looking for a soft pink blush that was cruelty free, when I stumbled across this beautiful blush pot in Pink Pinch.

Ingredients:

Mica (CI 77019); Zinc Oxide (CI 77947); May contain (+/-) Tin Oxide (CI 778161); Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891); Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499); Ultramarines (CI 77007)

Free of oil, talc, alcohol, fillers, fragrance, preservatives & chemical dyes

The Blush:

As with other Inika mineral powders I've used, this gives a beautiful airbrushed finish. The colour is pigmented and gives a gorgeous rosy glow to the cheeks, perfect for fair skin but with enough strength to suit medium skin too. The genius of this product is that you get the flawless effect of a mineral powder, but without the inevitable mess. Here, the loose powder is contained in a pot that sits beneath a soft sponge applicator, and you simply tap this onto your cheeks. It's quick, easy to apply and leaves such a healthy and pretty radiance. The powder is soft and delicate, with no cakey-ness to speak of, and is perfect for building up if you want a dramatic look for the night time. For my combination skin on a normal day, this lasts until the late afternoon, which is about as long as most other blushes do!

The blush retails at £17, although you can pick this up from Naturisimo and other green beauty stores for around £13.

What do you think of Inika? Are there any other products you've tried from their line?
