Etsy Haul: Kyra Botanica

Thursday, July 10

Kyra Botanica is run by Celia, a herbalist based in Portland, Oregon. Her passion for the beauty and healing power of plants is steeped in each one of her creations, which contain only the purest ingredients that nature can offer. Each order is hand crafted to ensure the ingredients are at their freshest and most potent. Organic and wild crafted herbs are blended and dried to create everything from organic herbal teas and hair rinses to floral waters and fragrances. It's too easy to fall in love with everything in this store.. These are what I picked up.

ELDERFLOWER + ROSE FLORAL FACIAL STEAM - £7.79

Organic Rosebuds; Rose Petals; Organic Elderflower; Organic Lavender; Organic Comfrey Leaf; Organic Chamomile

Balancing and rejuvenating, this facial steam contains elderflower to increase circulation, lavender to sooth inflammation and comfrey leaf to heal scarring and balance moisture. It's a welcome addition to my skincare routine, and I can't wait to spend an hour in the evening treating my skin to this fairy-like facial steam.

CEDAR + BIRCH CONDITIONING HAIR RINSE - £7.79

Organic Birch Leaves; Organic Comfrey Root & Leaves; Organic Rosemary; Organic Cedar Tips; Organic Lavender

This heavenly hair rinse smells like a forest, and contains ingredients noted for their ability to nourish and hydrate the hair follicles, prevent hair thinning and increase circulation for improved scalp health and hair growth. This came with an unbleached, reusable cotton drawstring bag to use when steeping the hair rinse prior to use. My hair is always in need of hydration, and this sounds perfect for it.

MOVE - BERGAMOT + LEMONGRASS THERAPEUTIC BODY OIL - £3 (only travel size now available)

Organic Almond Oil, Organic Grapeseed Oil, Organic Apricot Oil, Essential Oils

I don't even know where to begin describing this oil. It's incredible. Blended to promote circulation, it's warming, invigorating and stimulating. It smells spicy and warm, but with light notes from the lemongrass which prevent it from being too heavy or heady. The oil itself is light yet rich, blending immediately into the skin and leaving it feeling soft, supple and almost like velvet. Daily use balances moisture in the skin and evens skin tone, and can be used on problem spots such as spider veins.

If buying more than one item (which of course you will be), shipping to the UK can look scary at first (as there is no combined shipping). But if you e-mail Celia your chosen products, she will create a custom listing for you with your items and a reduced shipping cost. Alternatively, you can order the items immediately and Celia will refund you the difference in shipping. Celia also has an incredible blog called Dandelion Revolution, which is essential reading for anyone interested in herbalism.

Let me know what you think of Kyra Botanica, and of course let me know if you order anything - I need some ideas for my next haul ;)
