Summer 2014 Skin & Body Care Wish List

Sunday, May 4

Looking after our skin should be a ritual of self love, not just a routine we fly through every day. Every now and then I love treating myself to a luxurious treatment that nourishes my skin, my senses and my entire body and soul. As we step into the summer months and our skin becomes more exposed to the elements, it's crucial we take the time to treat it well. Below are a few products I have my eye on for my own skincare routine.

(L-R)

OSMIA ORGANICS Spot Treatment - $20

I have yet to try a single product from Osmia Organics, but what has caught my eye the most is their spot treatment. I've only heard amazing things about this, and as my skin gets oilier in the summer with a tendency to get congested, I think this will be the perfect staple to keep breakouts at bay. With organic evening primrose oil and a handful of essential oils including lavender, cyprus and lemon, the ingredients list is a dream.

LIVING NATURE Vitality Body Oil - £24

My favourite way to moisturise is with an oil, and this stimulating and warming body oil from Living Nature caught my eye. Key ingredients include essential oils of juniper, clary sage and kunzea oil, blended with organic almond oil. As I'm much more active in the summer, I'd love an oil which encourages circulation and keeps my muscles happy and supple.

KAHINA Toning Mist - £38

This is an incredibly luxurious facial spray, and one I would love to try. It claims to calm irritation and bring radiance to your skin, reducing any visible signs of ageing and helping you maintain a dewy completion throughout the day. I can usually change my facial spray without any disruption to my skin so I'm eager to see whether the performance of this matches it's price point. The ingredients are 90.61% organic and include extracts of willow bark, aspen bark, alfalfa and argan leaf, scented with Moroccan desert rose.

MAY LINDSTROM - The Honey Mud Cleansing Silk - £64

Who doesn't want plush, clear and breathtakingly soft skin? That's what May Lindstrom claims this mask will give you, and I'm happy to see if it proves true. A blend of raw honey, white halloysite clay and organic plant oils such as ylang ylang, cedar wood and frankincense, this silk mask sounds like a divine gift for your skin. I've read wonderful things about this brand, and if there's one thing I want to help keep my skin looking flawless over the summer, this is probably it.

HURRAW Sun Lip Balm with SPF 15 - £4.95

Our lips need protecting from the sun's rays as much as our skin, and I'm a huge fan of Hurraw lip balms. With organic, raw, cold pressed and wild crafted ingredients, there are few other lip balms I love using as much as these. They always taste amazing, and leave my lips feeling smooth, soft and healthy. This will be one of my essentials for the summer months.

LUCY ANNABELLA ORGANICS Muscle Quench Organic Bath Milk - £43

Whilst my baths in the summer are few, the times I do have them are to relieve aching muscles more than anything else. With 96% organic ingredients, this bath milk adds the luxury to a luxurious bath. Including organic soybean oil, rosemary oil, spike lavender and marjoram, it sounds like an aromatic yet relaxing way to spend a cool summer's evening.

ONE LOVE ORGANICS Morning Glory - Brightening Complexion Booster - $48

I fell in love with this ingredients list the first time I read it, and as I don't currently use a moisturiser or serum in the morning, I think this already has a place in my skincare routine. To stimulate, tighten and tone, this serum includes organic wild raspberry leaf, ylang ylang and peppermint oils. Simple nourishment at it's best.

Have you tried any of these already? What did you think? What's on your wish list for the summer?
