Summer 2014 Organic Make Up Wish List

Saturday, May 10

We really are spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful organic make up. Vibrant colours and long lasting performance don't need to rely on toxic ingredients that are potentially harmful to us and our environment. There are so many organic products that are blowing me away with their quality, and below are a few things I have my eye on for the summer months...

RMS BEAUTY Volumising Mascara - £24

There was a lot of hype surrounding both this and the RMS Defining mascara when they launched a couple of months ago. The volumising mascara is 100% natural, and includes organic plant waxes and raw minerals to enhance and add fullness to your lashes. Ingredients include organic beeswax, organic sweet almond oil and organic shea butter fruit.

KJAER WEIS Cream Foundation - £29 (£49)

The ultimate in luxury organic make up, this cream foundation is made with organic sweet almond oil, organic coconut oil, organic jojoba seed oil and is pigmented with minerals. With a semi matte finish and a cult following, I never thought I'd like cream foundation until this one appeared. It promises to deeply moisturise the skin, improve elasticity and reduce signs of ageing. Creamy, blendable and with 5 shades to choose from, this is top of my foundation wish list.

ILIA BEAUTY In My Room Organic Lipstick - £22

I love Ilia products. Their lipsticks are so moisturising, with an amazing colour pay off which lasts for hours. Made with 85% organic ingredients which includes organic castor seed oil, saje leaf extract, rosehip seed oil and jojoba oil, this soft muted pink is the perfect shade to add a subtle hint of colour for the summer months.

KURE BAZAAR Nail Polish in Rose Milk & Fuji- £14.95

Kure Bazaar nail polishes are made with 85% natural ingredients, and are at least free from toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate and synthetic camphor. Whilst I don't wear nail polish a lot, I love pastel shades for the summer, and both these colours remind me of early summer wildflowers. Just beautiful.

ILIA BEAUTY Illuminator in Polka Dots & Moonbeams - £30

Another product from Ilia Beauty, I'd choose this over the more popular RMS Beauty Living Luminiser because I worry the RMS products will react with my skin and cause me to break out. This illuminator promises to deliver a fresh, dewy glow to your cheeks and is enriched with vitamin E, sesame seed oil, rosehip oil and cocoa butter to nourish your skin. Made with 68-72% organic ingredients, this is on my wish list for summer weddings.

RMS BEAUTY Cream Eyeshadow in Lunar - £19

I love pressed and cream eye shadows, finding loose mineral pigments such a pain to work with. Finding good quality, organic eye shadows which aren't loose pigments is a lot harder than it sounds. I have my eye on this beautiful shade from RMS, which will be a perfect inner eye and brow highlight. Unfortunately some of the other shades in this range contain carmine, but this one doesn't. Made with organic cocoa seed butter and rosemary extract, it protects and nourishes the eye area, doubling up as an eye cream as well as an eyeshadow.

Do you use any of these? And what's on your wish list for the summer? I'd love some more ideas :) x

  1. Kure Bazaar make some awesome nail polishes, and the limited editions are always beautiful. They can be a little pricey though, I recommend you to check another french brand that makes natural nail polishes named Avril. Their nail polishes are awesome too and they are waaay cheaper ^^ The only thing is that they don't make limited editions. I think you can find it on Monde bio UK if I remember well...
I don't own any Ilia lipstick but the colors are SO amazing!

    1. I know the colours they come out with are incredible, it's a shame they cost so much otherwise I think I'd own most of them! Thanks so much for the recommendation for Avril, I can't believe how affordable they are! I'll definitely be giving them a try :) And I hope you get to try Ilia lipsticks, you won't regret it :) x

  4. Kjaer Weis has been on my wishlist for ages but as it's on the higher end of the price scale I think it's going to be a little while before I part with my cash. The ILIA highlighter is lovely but I wouldn't say it's worth £30 as it isn't THAT noticeable x

    1. Thanks for that Amber, that's good to know about the Ilia highlighter :) I've found Kjaer Weis becomes more affordable if you purchase the refills first! x

  5. Ooh that purple shade of nail polish <3 I've not tried the Ilia Illuminator, but the RMS Living Luminizer is really gorgeous. I do find some RMS products cause a reaction for me, especially the "un" cover-up, but no problems with the luminizer :) I'm totally eyeing up their mascara too! x

  8. After lusting after the Ilia lip products for a year I finally got a lipgloss. I have been using RMS lip2cheek for about a year and only half way through and have decided to treat myself to something from Kjaer Weis for birthday. I've heard amazing things about the Vapour complexion products so those are on my wish list.
