Summer 2014 Hair Care Wish List

Tuesday, May 13

The less I do to my hair, the happier it is. Years of bleach and over styling left it dry, damaged, brittle and very unhappy. It's taken me a couple of years to get it looking healthy and I don't overload it with products or heat styling. I religiously treat my hair with oils and masks to retain moisture and keep it nourished, and below are a few things I would love to try out in the next few months.

INTELLIGENT NUTRIENTS Leave in Conditioner - £21

This is a leave in treatment that is infused with a myriad of luxurious and exotic seed oils to moisturise and nourish your hair, providing a punch of antioxidants to protect and hydrate. A leave in conditioner is essential for the summer months for me, and this has had excellent reviews. I love the ingredients list, which includes tamanu seed oil, organic red raspberry seed oil, organic wintergreen leaf oil and rosemary leaf oil to name but a few.

SPIEZIA Organic Head & Hair Oil - £21.50

100% organic, this hair oil is designed to stimulate hair follicles, encouraging the growth of longer and healthier hair. I swear by scalp massages (by myself!) for helping keep my hair thick and healthy, and I normally use coconut oil. The blend of oils contained in this little jar however is too good to resist! Think sweet almond oil, wheatgerm oil and extracts of rosemary, nettle and sage.

JOHN MASTERS ORGANICS Dry Hair Nourishment & Defrizzer - £16

This has been formulated to reduce split ends and keep the ends of your hair smooth, sleek and hydrated. I always have to use an oil to keep my ends from becoming too dry and this one sounds particularly amazing, brimming with organic oils including jojoba oil, evening primrose oil and flax seed oil.

GREEN PEOPLE Clarifying Vitamin Shampoo - £10.95

As I use a fair amount of oil on my hair and scalp, I find I need a good shampoo to thoroughly clean my hair and prevent it feeling heavy and weighed down. I'm still searching for the right organic shampoo, and this clarifying one from Green People looks promising. With 82% organic content, it detoxes your hair to bring back vivacity and bounce.

What do you swear by for hair products? Have you found any holy grails yet? x
