Green People Mineral Powder Blush Review

Tuesday, March 11

Last week I posted a video reviewing the Green People Mineral Blusher in Rose. I'm a huge fan of mineral powders anyway, and find they leave a glowing finish without being cakey or too matte. Blusher isn't an everyday part of my make up routine, and I only really wear it if I'm going out somewhere for the day or popping into town. This is why I need a blush that is easy to use as I'm not the greatest expert at applying it! The Green People mineral blush ticks all the boxes for me, and everything from the ingredients to the finish are wonderful.

Ingredients:
Mica; Zea Mays Starch*; Magnesium Stearate; Octyldodecanol; Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride; Glyceryl Caprylate; P-anisic Acid; Cinnamic Acid; Cera Alba*; Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil*; Helianthus Annus Seed Oil; Tocopherol; May contain +/- CI 77891, CI77491 (Mineral Pigments)

100% of ingredients are from natural origin/ 11.2% of ingredients are from organic farming

EcoCert certified & approved by the Vegetarian Society

The Blusher:
The product itself is a dusky, matte pink which is incredibly versatile and easily blendable. It's warm tones give a natural flush on your cheeks, just like you've stepped in from a stroll outside. It's also richly pigmented, meaning a little goes a long way and allowing for a more dramatic look if you wanted it. I use a small blush brush (try saying that quickly!) and just gently swirl it around the pan, gently tapping the excess off on the back of my hand and embedding the pigments into the brush to allow me to build up the colour without having to pick up more product. As the pigments are so finely milled, the powder is luminous and doesn't sit in your pores, rather it sits on top of your skin, smoothing the area and reflecting light to give a subtle sheen.

The Packaging:
The blusher comes in a black cardboard pot with the logo embossed on the top, a mirror inside and a magnetic lid. One of my main criticisms of the blusher is that the packaging is bulky and won't fit in my make up bag. There is a lot of excess packaging, and the blusher isn't a luxury product, nor does it come with a brush of any kind.

The Price: £19.75
I personally think the price is a little steep for the product, although it has beautiful ingredients and performs really well. It's definitely a higher end blusher, and if you're happy to spend a little more on your make up then this could certainly be for you.

Have you tried the Green People blush? They're well known for their skincare but I haven't heard many things about their make up line, except for their amazing mascara.

  3. I think it looks great and I might buy it even though it's a bit pricey. I also love their mascara and I'm glad to see that others do.
